Automotive Analog Products

Designers of electronic control modules within the automobile are being challenged to deliver increased performance in a variety of systems, including powertrain, chassis, comfort, driver information, entertainment, and safety. Microchip Technology's broad portfolio of low-power analog products enables the development of cost-effective solutions that address these challenges and others facing the system designer. As one of the first companies to apply Non-Volatile Memory (NVM) technology to the development process for analog products, Microchip has utilized its NVM experience to deliver innovative analog solutions with unchallenged electrical characteristics.

Standalone Analog-to-Digital Converters (ADCs)

Microchip Technology Standalone Analog-to-Digital Converters (ADCs) deliver high precision, low power consumption, and small size at up to 200Mega samples per second (Msps) for conversion of analog-to-digital signals. These ADCs can help overcome design challenges by allowing users to choose the correct ADC for low-power designs. Microchip designed these ADCs to operate in high temperatures and high electromagnetic environments. Most of them come with AEC-Q100-qualified automotive qualifications, providing the reliability required for automotive and industrial applications.

MCP331x1(D)-xx Analog-to-Digital Converters

Microchip Technology MCP331x1(D)-10/05 is a family of Analog-to-Digital Converters (ADC), featuring a full differential input, high performance, and low power consumption in a small package, making them ideal for battery-powered systems and remote data acquisition applications. The MCP331x1(D)-10/05 ADCs feature a Successive Approximation Register (SAR) architecture, an industry-standard SPI serial interface and wide digital I/O interface supply (DVIO) range, allowing them to be interfaced with most industry-standard host microcontrollers, without the need for external voltage level shifters. These Analog-to-Digital Converters feature 1M/500k samples/second, one input channel, low power consumption (0.8µA typical standby, 1.6mA typical active [for 1Msps]), and are offered in a compact 10-pin MSOP or 10-TDFN packages.

MCP33141/MCP33151 12/14-bit ADCs

Microchip MCP33141/MCP33151 12/14-bit Analog-to-Digital Converters (ADCs) feature a single-ended input, high performance, and low power consumption in a small package. This makes these devices ideal for battery-powered systems and remote data acquisition applications. These ADCs feature a successive approximation register (SAR) architecture and an industry-standard SPI serial interface, allowing 12-bit or 14-bit ADC capability to be added to any PIC® microcontroller. The MCP33141/MCP33151 features 500k or 1M samples/second, 1 input channel, low power consumption (1.5µA typical standby current, 0.33mA typical active current), and is available in 10-pin MSOP and 10-pin TDFN.
