Silicon Labs EFR32MG29 Series 2 Multiprotocol Wireless SoCs are ideal for battery-powered Internet of Things (IoT) end devices. With support for both buck and boost DC-DC, the Silicon Labs EFR32MG29 can provide the ultimate battery flexibility. Buck DC-DC is ideal for devices that run on batteries with a voltage range from 1.8V to 3.8V, such as coin cells and dual alkaline cells. The boost DC-DC operates from 1.2V to 1.7V and is ideal where smaller form-factor or lower-cost batteries, such as button cells or single alkaline cells, are required.

EFR32xG29 Series 2 Wireless SoCs

Silicon Labs EFR32xG29 Series 2 Wireless System-on-Chips (SoCs), including the EFR32MG29 and EFR32BG29 variants, are advanced multi-protocol wireless solutions designed for high-performance, low-power applications in the Internet of Things (IoT) space. These SoCs feature a powerful Arm® Cortex®-M33 core with TrustZone® technology, offering enhanced security and efficient processing. The components support a wide range of wireless protocols, including Zigbee®, Thread, BLUETOOTH® Low Energy (LE), and proprietary 2.4GHz protocols, making the SoCs ideal for smart home, industrial, and commercial applications. With up to 1024KB of flash and 256KB of RAM, the EFR32xG29 devices provide ample memory for complex applications and over-the-air updates. Integrated features such as a high-performance radio with +20dBm output power, low-energy sensor interfaces, and advanced peripherals enable robust connectivity and extended battery life in constrained environments.
