Analog Devices EVAL-SSM3582Z Evaluation Board helps designers evaluate the features of the SSM3582 31.76W fully integrated, digital input stereo Class-D audio amplifier. The SSM3582 amplifier requires few external components and is capable of operating from a single 4.5V-16V supply. The EVAL-SSM3582Z evaluation board delivers 14.67W of continuous output power to a 4Ω load from a 12V power supply with <1% THD + N, or 31.76W into a 4Ω load from 16V, 10% THD + N. When configured, the EVAL-SSM3582Z evaluation board and the SSM3582 amplifier operate with a 93.8% efficiency rating at 10W into an 8Ω load or a 90.6% efficiency rating at 18W into 4Ω load from a 12V supply. The EVAL-SSM3582Z and the SSM3582 have a typical noise floor of 38.5μVrms A weighted. The EVAL-SSM3582Z evaluation kit includes the EVAL-SSM3582Z evaluation board, USBi USB interface board, and USB cable.
