TCA9548A 8-Channel I2C Switch

Texas Instruments TCA9548A 8-Channel I²C Switch has eight bidirectional translating switches, which can be controlled through the I²C bus. The SDA/SCL upstream pair fans out to eight downstream channels or pairs. Any individual SDn/SCn channel or a combination of channels can be selected, which is determined by the contents of the programmable control register. These downstream channels can be used to resolve any I²C slave address conflicts. If eight identical digital temperature sensors are needed in the application, one sensor can be connected at each channel: 0–7.
