Heimdall IR Receivers

Vishay Semiconductors Heimdall IR Receivers are miniaturized SMD IR receiver modules for infrared remote control systems. The two PIN diodes and a preamplifier are assembled on a lead frame and the epoxy package contains an IR filter. The demodulated output signals from the transmitters can be directly connected to a microprocessor for decoding. Vishay Semiconductors Heimdall IR Receivers are optimized to suppress almost all spurious pulses from Wi-Fi / CFL sources. These IR receivers offer improved immunity against HF, RF, and optical noises.

TSOP75x Series IR Receiver Modules

Vishay Semiconductors TSOP75x Series IR Receiver Modules feature a unique Heimdall package with two lenses for a wide field of view. These devices integrate two PIN diodes and an IC on a lead frame. The epoxy package filters visible light, only allowing the 940nm infrared signal to be received. The TSOP75x package can be mounted in top-view or side-view orientation and is designed for reflow processing. Vishay supports carrier frequencies of 30kHz, 33kHz, 36kHx, 38kHz, 40kHz, and 56kHz. Automatic gain control is available for short and long burst remote control codes, and for optically noisy environments. These Vishay devices have an ultra-low irradiance value enabling a long transmit distance.
