KEMET AC Harmonic Filter Film Capacitors
KEMET AC Harmonic Filter Film Capacitors are self-healing, polypropylene metallized film capacitors that are placed on AC voltage lines to filter them. These capacitors offer high capacitance density, high peak current, and a long lifetime. Typical applications include inverter systems, motor drives, battery chargers, AC and harmonic filtering, clamping/damping systems, and power factor correction (PFC).On three-phase AC power lines, KEMET AC Harmonic Filter Film Capacitors can be placed in a delta or wye configuration.
• Delta configuration: the capacitors are connected between the different phases.
• Star configuration: the capacitors are connected between each phase and a central point. The neutral point is sometimes connected to the ground or left as a floating neutral, depending on the system design.
KEMET AC Harmonic Filter Film Capacitors provide an ideal solution to filter high ripple harmonic content in the input of AC/DC converter and output of the DC/AC inverter systems.

- C44A Series are polypropylene metalized film capacitors with a cylindrical, aluminum can-type design filled with resin and are suitable for general-purpose applications. These devices use screw or Faston terminals and a plastic insulator. C44A MKP aluminum case capacitors from KEMET have a temperature range (case) of -40°C to +85°C with a maximum permissible ambient temperature of +70°C.
- C44H Series features a cylindrical, aluminum can-type design filled with liquid resin and uses screw terminals, a plastic deck, and an overpressured safety device.
