Analog Devices Inc. Smoke Detection
Analog Devices Inc. Smoke Detection is a portfolio of smoke detection solutions and services, from standalone integrated optical modules to hardware reference designs to complete data and software packages. Configure kits based on relative level of experience with smoke detection designs. This solution combines an analog front-end, dual-wavelength LEDs, and photodiodes into a small package. This solution simplifies the optical design and reduces the smoke detector footprint. The integration of the photodiode and AFE also provides high ambient light rejection and wide dynamic range to better reduce false alarms. ADI's deep sensor expertise provides integrated solutions to help manufacturers engineer better smoke detectors. The integrated design uses two colors to separate particle sizes. This increases the ability to detect and classify smoke types and reject nuisance sources in challenging environments, like kitchens and bathrooms. The ADI module is engineered to help manufacturers meet UL217 requirements and EN54/14604 specifications.Features
- Space-saving integrated modules (photodiode, AFE, and LEDs)
- On-chip calibration reduces factory end-of-line calibration requirements
- Reduces power dissipation
- Particle size estimation using two LEDs reduces false alarms
- Enables UL 217-compliant detectors
