ROHM Semiconductor USB Type-C Power Delivery ICs

ROHM Semiconductor USB Type-C Power Delivery (PD) ICs use base-band communication for USB PD. These ICs support the PD policy engine and communicate with an embedded controller or the SoC via a host interface. The Type-C PD ICs feature MOSFET drivers with backflow prevention, Type-C cable orientation detection, and EC-less operation auto mode. These ICs support up to 100W of power supply, dead battery operation, alternate modes, Downstream Facing Port (DFP), Upstream Facing Port (UFP), and a Dual-Role Port (DRP). The USB PD ICs incorporate consumer, provider, and consumer/provider power roles. These ICs come in a 5mm x 5mm x 1mm SMD form factor. ROHM Semiconductor USB Type-C PD ICs operate at a temperature range from -30°C to +105°C and are ideal for monitors, docking stations, PCs, TVs, and laptops.
