Renesas Electronics Smart Locks with Super Low Power Wi-Fi® and BLE
Renesas Electronics Smart Locks with Super Low Power Wi-Fi® and BLE aim for a rapidly growing segment of the home and building automation industries. Using common wireless communication protocols, these locks can communicate with a smart home or building via fingerprint recognition and/or mobile phones. The protocols include Bluetooth®, Wi-Fi®, or Near Field Communication (NFC). The GreenPAK™ family of cost-effective NVM programmable devices provides a motor driver and LED control features. The high-performance, low pin count, 32-bit microcontrollers (MCUs) are available to design in a fingerprint module for algorithm support. Typical applications include smart homes and building automation.Features
- Multiple wireless communication supported:
- Smaller and lower power Bluetooth 5.1 SoC
- Ultra-low-power Wi-Fi SoC for battery-powered IoT devices
- Highly integrated NFC reader IC
- High-performance 120MHz low-pin MCU for fingerprint module
- Programmable mixed-signal matrix enables innovators to integrate many systems functions into a single custom circuit
Applications
