Texas Instruments LMX2820EVM RF Synthesizer Evaluation Module (EVM)

Texas Instruments LMX2820EVM RF Synthesizer Evaluation Module (EVM) is designed to evaluate the performance of LMX2820. This board consists of a prototype LMX2820 device. The LMX2820 is a high-performance wideband synthesizer that can generate any frequency from 43.75MHz to 22.4GHz. This synthesizer supports JESD204 B-compliant SYSREF signal buffering and generation. The LMX2820 allows designers to synchronize the output of multiple device instances. The Texas Instruments LMX2820 runs from a single 3.3V supply and has integrated LDOs that eliminate the need for onboard low-noise LDOs.

Features

  • 22.6GHz output
  • 40fs RMS jitter (10kHz to 20MHz) at 6GHz carrier
  • Synchronization of output phase across multiple devices
  • Support for SYSREF
  • Supports external VCO input up to 22.6GHz
  • This evaluation module has the complete circuit for the synthesizer, optimized and tested for performance, and includes a USB programming module
